We’ve made this film for A-CET, The African Children’s Educational Trust. We have supported this great charity since 2005 when we made the film NEVER AT REST, which is about Claire Bertschinger, the Red Cross nurse who helped to bring the Ethiopian famine to the world’s attention. A-CET has just finished building a great new school in northern Ethiopia and Bob Geldolf – a big supporter through Band Aid Trust – came to open it. We wanted the film to encourage further donations to help A-CET but also to try to present a positive and uplifting portrait of a country which is often defined in the media by images of famine and war.
Short version (above) 12 minutes HDCAM
Long version (on DVD) 40 minutes HDCAM
