Green Lions

We’ve just won the GRAND PRIX award at JAPAN PRIZE 2014!

We are very proud to announce an amazing achievement for Green Lions this month. Project Wild Thing has won two major awards at the prestigious NHK Japan Prize in Tokyo. The contest awards prizes for educational media and the jury chose Project Wild Thing as the winner in the Continuing Education Category. As if that wasn’t enough, the film also won the Grand Prix prize, which is awarded to the best work out of all 320 entries from around the world. An amazing achievement! JAPAN PRIZE invited us over and treated us to a fantastic few days in Tokyo.

Here is Lorraine collecting the awards on stage:

The night after the award ceremony, the film screened on NHK – the Japanese national broadcaster, and we received lots of messages from viewers in Japan who connected with the message of the film. When we made the film we never imagined that it could travel so far and that it would resonate with people from every corner of the world. We feel truly honoured by this & we have been wildly celebrating ever since. Here is our beautiful Grand Prix trophy:
